The Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Accounts Receivable Department through the timely processing of payments, accurate application to open invoices and consistent, respectful contact with  customers. This position will be expected to reconcile and resolve discrepancies and work with other members of the Accounting team.


The Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist should expect to grow his/her analytical skills and may find opportunity to take on new projects/roles within the Finance group outside of Accounts Receivable.


  • Process day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data.
  • Set up, organize and maintain customer files.
  • Process and post customer payments.
  • Submit invoices through EDI process.
  • Prepare and make electronic bank deposits.
  • Regularly run and review A/R reports to ensure all payments are accounted for and posted.
  • Research and resolve customer
  • Identify and analyze reasons for outstanding accounts.
  • Send out past due reminders and follow up with delinquent customers
  • Participate in month end close activities by generating A/R reports and/or other necessary documentation.


  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of accounts receivable experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude despite challenging customer interactions.


  • Exceptional Customer service skills for both Internal and External Customers.
