Overview

The Product Development Associate provides overall administrative and project coordination support to the Product Development Team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Product Manager to create, maintain and update the worksheets each season.
  • Assist Development Manager in creating and maintaining cutting tickets for all collections.
  • Work with product development team to create material color cards for factories.
  • Assist with factory send outs.
  • Photograph, tag, and log all inspirations items and all development samples.
  • Document and manage development samples and patterns that are sent out.
  • Create and maintain development market files.
  • Manage all development and final sample material transfers.
  • Work with PD Material Manager and Design to create and maintain new hardware by style documents each season.
  • Assist with the sample loan process for all PD final samples.
  • Assist with preparing samples and setup for showroom presentations.
  • Request and track necessary material swatches for production pass off and PD material spec cards.
  • Create production sheets and spec cards for each factory and production.
  • Create final material spec cards for PD library.
  • Log and track wear test samples.
  • Manage all invoicing.
  • Help design maintain style master each season with correct images, numbers and names.
  • Work with Product Manager to keep the sample closet organized and filled with only current merchandise.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Previous product development experience, preferably in accessories. 
  • Experience working cross-functionally with design, development, production and manufacturing.
  • Strong communication, organizational and project management skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Accurate and attentive to details.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
