The Process engineer is responsible for completing continuous improvement projects.


  • Responsible for completing continuous improvement studies in accordance to project timelines
  • Analyze quality data to perform root cause analysis and countermeasure improvements
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in production and implement alternative solutions as they relate to cost, quality and production requirements
  • Lead 5S activities
  • Perform bi-annual time studies and audit process times, as needed
  • Implement and maintain tracking system for production time requirements
  • Asses & adjust processes thru value stream mapping to ensure balanced production flow
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for existing products
  • Maintain routers for existing products
  • Hold Kaizen events
  • Support ergonomic improvements (station redesign)
  • Provide technical guidance to factory technical designer
  • Support Product Engineer, as needed, for the implementation of new product
  • Assist with training artisans on new products and processes


  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Proficient with 2D and/or 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
  • Must be able to read and understand technical drawings
  • Experience with technical writing; experience with writing standard operating procedures
  • Experience/Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation preferred
  • Working knowledge of Product/Process Verification activities
  • Previous manufacturing/production experience a plus
  • Experience with Takt Time/Process Time studies
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Product/Process Verification activities
  • Strong work ethic and ability to take initiative
  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Positive and professional attitude
