Bedrock’s System Administrator will be responsible for installing, upgrading, and monitoring the software and hardware of network, server, and other infrastructure systems used in business operations. They will be involved in backup and recovery operations and will maintain essential systems used by the business such as operating systems, business applications, security tools, and will serve as an escalation point for desktop support.


Resourcefulness is an essential skill in this role. A successful candidate will be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. They should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.


Your goal will be to ensure our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.


  • Install and configure software and hardware
  • Manage network, servers and technology tools
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls
  • Upgrade systems with new versions and models
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new and emerging technologies
  • Maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and IT policies
  • Ability to provide support off hours “on call”
  • Ability to perform scheduled after hours work during predetermined maintenance windows



  • Bachelor degree in a related field; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
  • 3+ years experience in system administration
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and virtualization platforms
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Azure, VMWare/Hyper-V, Veeam, Office 365, Cisco/Meraki, Microsoft SQL is highly desirable
  • Experience with Network Security (Firewalls, IDS, NAC, PCI & ISO requirements) is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
  • Ability to create scripts in PowerShell, Python or other language
