Bedrock owns several apparel and accessory companies each unique in its business model and stages of maturity. Various functions are administered under a shared services umbrella organization. The global companies primarily assemble their products in the U.S. and distribute their products through wholesale, owned retail and e-commerce.

 

We are currently searching for an Accounting Coordinator to work in our downtown Plano office If you are looking for a job in a fast-paced environment with the opportunity to learn and take on a variety of new challenges, then this might be the perfect opportunity for you.

 

This position is responsible, under moderate supervision, for performing various accounting tasks according to standard operation procedures in relation to the company's financial activities.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services;
  • Collect required supporting documentation needed to comply with financial policies and procedures;
  • Segregate invoices and expenses by entity;
  • Initially code invoices, expenses and credit card transactions for general ledger purposes;
  • Manage and record the weekly check run;
  • Prepare vendor checks for mailing;
  • Process and set up new vendors including collect required tax information and issue 1099’s where applicable
  • Record retail sales receipts for multiple locations and reconcile clearing accounts;
  • Data entry of sales orders for wholesale accounts
  • Prepare financial analysis and research on various accounts;     
  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts to supporting detail;
  • Assist with special projects, as assigned;
  • Interface effectively with employees in different departments and at various levels within the organization

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in accounting or business preferred.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with PC tools, including MS Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Able to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Three to five years’ experience in high volume accounts payable processing environment preferred.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Able to thrive in a high pressure, deadline oriented environment.
