  • Overview

    The Quality Manager oversees all quality controls and procedures for all product and organizational processes.


    • Manage Quality Department team of Engineers, Supervisors, and Inspectors
    • Work with team to define and enforce process-time requirements for IQC and FQC
    • Implement and manage centrally organized QMS, in line with ISO 9001:2015, including NCR, CAR/PAR, DFM/FMEA, Design and Development, V&V
    • Improve and implement standard training process for all controlled documentation and processes, including tracking of such training
    • Oversee Change Control procedure (ECI), including review and approval of ECI documentation and updates to QMS documents
    • Develop strong partnering relationships with Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing and Research & Development departments in support of QMS initiatives
    • Responsible for defining quality standards for all products and raw materials in collaboration with Product Development and Engineering teams, as well as enforcing such standards through inspection and NCR procedures
    • Report supplier and factory monthly quality metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives and supplier scorecards
    • Facilitate on-site supplier audits and drive Quality Engineering involvement with RCA and manufacturing support
    • Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing monthly quality data to evaluate internal and external manufacturing (raw materials and finished goods)
    • Maintain and improve product quality by interpreting monthly quality metrics and collaborating with Engineering and Product Development management to define continuous improvement opportunities
    • Manage internal auditing program to ensure that all quality procedures, production SOPs and work instructions are properly maintained and followed
    • Define and facilitate Engineering reviews for DFM, FMEA of on-going product development programs, as well as post-launch lessons learned meetings
    • Oversee Quality Engineering investigations, root cause analysis and provide corrective and preventive actions based on sound engineering analysis


    • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Quality Management/Assurance, Engineering, or Science related field preferred
    • 3-5 years of Engineering or Quality experience
    • Experience with, and passion for quality principals and strategy
    • Experience with technical writing and documentation of standard operating procedures
    • Requires excellent leadership skills for coaching technically based employees
    • Advanced knowledge of quality related tools including, but not limited to SPC, GD&T, DFMEA, DOE, ISO, Quality Systems and measurement tools
    • Ability to travel 20% of the time
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to work in a self-directed environment
    • Self-disciplined to meet and complete objectives within required timelines
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation skills
    • Ability to interact professionally across all levels of the company
