    Bedrock Watch company is hiring. We are very small yet mighty group of passionate designers, story tellers and builders who are partnering with some of the most iconic brands in the world to design and distribute watches and accessories, focused on designer level luxury brands that have a point of view.

     

    The watch and accessory designer researches develop, and designs watches and or accessories, with a specific focus on alignment with the dedicated client. The designer will develop and design with full illustrations, 3D solid work files and technical specification that can be executed by the factories.

    Responsibilities

    • Design Accessories, with a focus on watches but not limited to.
    • Knowledge of trends not only in the fashion industry as a whole, but within the Watch, Jewelry, and Accessory markets.

     

    • Ability to relate to nearly any demographic and market. With a passion for learning and discovering new opportunities and for bringing those learnings into relevant commercial products. 

     

    • Able to prepare and deliver specification packets for all products and communicate details with the factory.

     

    • Willing to enthusiastically create high quality work, whether developing your own concepts or the concepts of someone else.

     

    • Basic knowledge about the design techniques, tools, construction and principles involved in production.

     

    • Able to develop targeted design, based on accomplishing real world, strategic business objectives.

     

    • Able to explore ideas quickly and communicate them effectively through outside references and sketches.

     

    • Responsible for sourcing any reference materials or samples needed to complete design inspiration.

     

    • Work directly within a team environment in a collaborative way to bring to life the overall direction.

     

    • Develop color and materials selection by season in collaboration with client.
    • Keep up to date on market and trends in the industry and retail selling.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Fashion Design or Jewelry Design preferred.

     

    • 5+ years of watch design experience.

     

    • Proven record of taking projects to closure from concept to manufacturing.

     

    • Extensive knowledge of and experience in the Watch, Jewelry and or Accessory industry.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing and techniques.

     

    • Graphic design skills with expert level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Solid Works or equivalent.

     

    • Expert level sketching skills – both hand and 3D prototyping.

     

    • Knowledge of construction and terminology of watch design, development and manufacturing techniques.

     

    • The ability to interpret brand vision into products that are relevant to current trends and are viable to manufacture within cost parameters.

     

    • Clear and supportive communication skills, both written and oral.

     

    • The ability to quickly adapt, self-motivate, and manage when needed.
