  • Overview

    The Quality Engineer assists Quality Management with implementation of company-wide operations procedures and process to support the overall Quality Assurance plan and Quality Managment System (QMS)


    • Assist with implementation of centrally organized QMS for company-wide access to standard operational processes and templates
    • Support development and implementation of new product/processes by recording product quality requirements and tolerances, as well as identifying quality concerns prior to product launch
    • Work with Product Development and Engineering teams to support DFM/FMEA reviews prior to product launch
    • Support Engineering production process V&V by review and approval of verification samples review, PFMEA and SOP documentation approval
    • Develop and implement standard procedure for new material verification (raw leather)
    • Support pre-production and top of production reviews by completing visual/functional/dimensional inspections of samples and documenting the results (SRF) for vendor corrections
    • Document incoming and final quality inspection SOPs with acceptance criteria
    • Document quality specifications for incoming and final inspections of raw materials and finished goods
    • Review and analyze customer repair requests for recurring quality issues and document corrective actions necessary for Engineering implementation
    • Assists in the resolution of manufacturing quality issues related to product and/or process
    • Conduct investigations, root cause analysis and provide corrective and preventive actions based on sound engineering analysis and review
    • Support implementation and management of Change Control procedure to ensure all process and product changes are fully validated and to ensure proper revision control
    • Directly support the quality control team by ensuring inspection procedures are documented and that inspectors are trained


    • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
    • 1-3 years of Engineering experience, previous Quality experience preferred
    • Experience with technical writing and documentation of standard operating procedures
    • Trained and knowledgeable of RCA, CA/PA systems
    • Must understand GD&T and be able to review technical drawings
    • Working knowledge of Product/Process Verification activities
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Willingness to take initiative
    • Self-disciplined to meet and complete objectives within required timelines
    • Good communication skills, written and verbal
    • Ability to interact professionally across all levels of the company
    • Positive and professional attitude
