  • Overview

    The Microsoft Dynamics AX Technical Analyst is responsible for providing technical solutions and support of Bedrock’s Dynamics AX environment.  As a member of our team, you would be responsible for the development and implementation of any modifications, extensions, or upgrades.  As well as, supporting and troubleshooting any technical issues.  You would be required to participate in every aspect of the implementation/upgrade process, including design, development, QA, data conversion/migration, installation, integration, and documentation.


    A successful candidate will need to interact with other internal and external technical resources, as well as functional Business Analysts and Project Managers.



    • Provides technical knowledge of IT and DBMS infrastructure
    • Designs and develops of modifications or extensions to Dynamics AX
    • Codes, unit tests, creates supporting documentation, and promotes change sets through entire lifecycle for Dynamics AX
    • Applies hotfixes and manages code merges
    • Develops data migration strategies using standard Microsoft tools and frameworks
    • Works closely with a project team to ensure project timelines are met
    • Provides work estimates that permit prioritization and assignments to be made
    • Oversees day to day operations, maintenance, and support of Dynamics AX


    • 7+ years of work experience in IT
    • 2 to 5 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX
    • 2 to 5 years of technical experience with any ERP software
    • Hands on Microsoft Dynamics AX development experience
    • Hands on Microsoft Dynamics AX installation and configuration experience
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX architectural components especially in Framework and Application foundation including layers, models, tiers, and data partitions
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics reporting tools including SSRS, SSAS, and Role Centers
    • Understanding of Dynamics data structures
    • Experience with AIF and other integration technologies
    • Knowledge of associated Microsoft technologies (.Net, Visual Studio, TFS/VSTS, SQL Server, SSIS, SharePoint, PowerBI)
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize and solve problems proactively
    • Demonstrate the ability to work systematically and logically to analyze situations, resolve problems, identify root causes, and anticipate implications
    • Team player with customer focus
    • Clear and effective communications skills
    • Familiar with all AX functional modules
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical degree
    • Microsoft Certifications preferred
